In September, I had the wonderful opportunity to work for J Valdi, a company specializing in resort wear that can be found in stores such as Macy's and Bloomingdales. In preparation for the recent launch of their website and e-commerce site, we provided product shots for each item in their collections as well as stock lifestyle content for their website, social media, and marketing collateral. Brand shoots like this, have got to be my absolute favorite. I love working with a company to create entirely new or refreshed content and getting creative together. Check out some highlights below! Careful though, major Babe Alert...
My uber talented friend Jill at Layered Vintage is the queen of super cool parties. Like, she's the friend that "just whipped something up" at the last minute and it looks like it's straight off a Pinterest board. Obnoxious right? I know, it's the worst. ;) Except when I get to go to said parties and photograph the heck out of it. Then it's ok. We sipped hot cocoa, crafted some homemade any-time-of-year wrapping paper with stamps from Fresh Baked Paper Goods, and ate the most incredible bites courtesy of A Miho Experience. And the pear cocktails were just the icing on the cake.
Check out Layered Vintage's "Crafts + Cocoa" party on 100 Layer Cake, or sneak a peek below! Then plan a bash for you and all your crafty friends.

Let's cut to the chase: one of the best parts about the holiday season is alllll the parties. You should be prepared to whip up something fancy for friends + family and look like a total cocktail boss in the process, right? #goals
Thanks to Please and Thank You in San Diego, you can look like a total pro and sip in style. Those talented folks whipped up twelve different cocktails, as featured on 100 Layer Cake over the past 12 days, and I've rounded them all up here for you! My absolute favorite was "Bramble On", but honestly, I loved every. single. one. And those drink stirrers from The Roc Shop are just too much.
Scope out each of the 12 Days of Holiday Cocktails and then click on over to 100 Layer Cake for the full recipe to add to your holiday cocktail arsenal. You won't regret it.
The holidays are alive and well over here and I've got the best table setting concepts to prove it. These make for the dreamiest holiday table, but can easily be edited to use year-round. Can you tell there's an Anthropologie and West Elm obsession over here? Ugh, it's bad you guys. Check out the four different settings below styled by Layered Vintage, then head over to Wedding Chicks to see the full feature and get some shopping links to these exact items!

There are a few, great foods in life that you can make a whole meal out of. You know the ones I'm talking about - the food that's technically not socially considered a meal in traditional terms, but you've found yourself binging on it on a Saturday night with no intention of eating a true, well-rounded meal afterwards. One of my personal favorites is wine + popcorn à la Olivia Pope, paired with Netflix, of course (just me?). But the non-meal of all non-meals probably goes to the tried and true cheeseboard.
I've spent many-a-girls nights snacking on a darlingly curated cheeseboard and a good red in hand with nary a real meal in sight. Or, let's be honest here: who can relate to the occasional after-work "cheeseboard" of one or two cheeses from the "fancy" cheese section of the grocery stored paired with a package of "fancy crackers" and cheap bottle of wine? Hey, no judgment. We all need those nights. But when you're ready to get truly fancy and wow your "fancy section of the grocery store" friends, remember this tutorial constructed by the ever-talented Root Cellar Catering Co. and you can't go wrong. It's hardly a recipe, but rather, the master instructions to constructing the most perfect cheeseboard for the holiday season. Impress your fellow partygoers with a platter that just might make Olivia Pope give up her popcorn for good.
